On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the CHSE Office of Advocacy, Collaboration & Engagement will host an insightful discussion about inclusive education and intellectual disabilities. In honor of Developmental Disabilities Month, we'll explore this important topic through the lens of A.P. Tureaud, Jr., a trailblazer in integration at 海角社区 and retired Director of Special Education.

Moderated by Dean Roland Mitchell, our guest speaker, Alexander P. Tureaud, Jr., will share his experiences and insights gained from his extensive career in special education. The panel will also feature esteemed individuals including:

  • Paul Mooney, PhD and Professor of Special Education at the 海角社区 Lutrill & Pearl Payne School of Education;
  • Willie Louviere, Director of 海角社区 Integrative Community Studies;
  • Anne Stuckey Williams, MSW, LCSW-BACS and Assistant Professor of Professional Practice at the 海角社区 School of Social Work;
  • and other 海角社区 and community representatives.
