Classified/Civil Service employees are all employees in positions covered by the provisions of the . All actions affecting classified employees are made in accordance with Civil Service rules and regulations. Classified employees are critical in creating and fostering an environment to support 海角社区鈥檚 mission of providing world-class education and successful student development. Classified positions include: custodians, maintenance workers, horticultural attendants, drivers, and more! Select Civil Service positions require a passing score on a Civil Service test. Professional employees include administrative officers and professional staff, as well as all employees in positions exempt from the provisions of the State Civil Service System. Faculty are at the heart of 海角社区鈥檚 land-grant, sea-grant, and space-grant mission of providing a world-class education to challenge students to achieve the highest levels of intellectual and personal development. Appointment types include tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenured faculty positions, as well as clinical and research positions.

Becoming a Temporary or WAE (Wages as Earned) employee is a wonderful way to get a foot in the door at 海角社区. These positions allow individuals to contribute while learning how the university works and develop skills through a variety of assignments. Temporary and WAE employees are employed for a fixed term, and in some instances, these positions are seasonal or part-time.

It is not unusual for us to receive up to 200 applications for a given position.
