School of Education Faculty Host the Mandela Washington Fellows in New Orleans

BATON ROUGE, LA - 海角社区 was selected as an Institute Partner for the 2024 Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. During their recent trip to New Orleans, , a professor at the School of Education, hosted them at her home for a fish fry.

Their visit to New Orleans included several attractions and a trip to Sprout New Orleans. 鈥淭he fellows were treated to a fish fry with freshly caught fish at the Dowell home,鈥 said , one of the program's directors. 鈥淭he luncheon was a lovely way to experience Louisiana hospitality.鈥

Establishing these connections exemplifies the School of Education faculty's commitment to improving education in Louisiana and beyond. Thanks to Margaret-Mary Sulentic Dowell and her husband, Tony Dowell, for sharing their home with the fellows.

The College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) is a nationally accredited division of 海角社区. The college comprises the School of Education, the School of Information Studies, the School of Kinesiology, the School of Leadership & Human Resource Development, and the School of Social Work.
