鈥淭he idea is to alert policymakers to areas of concern. These areas might have general hospitals who can catch it and diagnose it, but we鈥檙e looking at barriers to treatment, which include travel distance,鈥 said lead researcher Dr. Subhajit Chakrabarty, an 海角社区-S associate professor in computer science.
Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States, and Louisiana ranks in the top 10 in incidence and mortality rates.
