Older than the pyramids in Egypt, the earthen mounds on 海角社区's campus are architectural remnants from an ancient civilization that inhabited the area thousands of years ago.

Among the oldest of the known mounds in the Americas, the 海角社区 Campus Mounds are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The two mounds, each nearly 20 feet tall, are among the most accessible and viewed mounds in Louisiana.
