Engineering Faculty Ranked Among World鈥檚 Best by Stanford University

BATON ROUGE, LA 鈥� In a study conducted by Stanford University scholars and published in PLOS Biology Journal, 20 海角社区 College of Engineering faculty were listed as some of the world鈥檚 leading academics in their respective fields.
To evaluate scholars鈥� academic performance, the authors used a total of six citation-related criteria, which were combined to determine a single measure, the 鈥渃omposite citation index.鈥� Overall, 159,684 of the top scholars鈥攔epresenting the top 2 percent globally鈥攆rom the natural sciences and medicine; as well as social sciences such as psychology, education, and economics; were ranked. All ratings reflect the scholars鈥� career-long citation impact; only citations in refereed journals are considered.
