Women's History Month
The 海角社区 Women's Center is excited to continue the tradition of celebrating Women's History Month this March 2025! The Women's Center and Division of Engagement, Civil Rights, and Title IX welcome all Tigers during this powerful month of collaborative programming with our insightful campus partners. View the details related to this month below to partake in the celebration, recognition, and upliftment of the trailblazers, visionaries, and creative forces whose impact has shaped our world.
2025 Calendar of Events
- March 6 and 11: Stop by our table in Free Speech to celebrate Women鈥檚 History Month and participate in a variety of activities recognizing influential women in history. *We will reschedule if weather is inclement. Times will be posted day of on our Instagram.*
- March 14: Friend Friday Be a friend and drop in at the Women鈥檚 Center for snacks and activities between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (CT).
- March 18: Join us from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (CT) for a private screening, and discussion with the director, of the film Old Lesbians. This event is done in collaboration with the Department of History, Women鈥檚, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Mapping Trans Joy.
- March 21: Be Your Own Boss In collaboration with the Clarence L. Barney, Jr. African American Cultural Center we invite you to join us for this exciting panel discussion from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (CT).
- March 21: Tapestry Project, Woven Words In collaboration with the Intercultural Center, join us as we celebrate World Poetry Day from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (CT). Refreshments will be provided.
- March 25: Leadership Lessons: Part 2 In collaboration with University Recreation, join us for an exciting leadership development & networking opportunity from 4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (CT) in the Women's Center.
- March 27: Know Before You Geaux Spring Break Edition Stop by our table in Free Speech for Spring Break safety tips! *We will reschedule if weather is inclement. Times will be posted day of on our Instagram.*
