Admitted Graduate Student Checklist
Through Spring 2025
Once you're admitted, you will need to claim and manage your account through .
You will receive an email to the address provided on your application with the My海角社区 account login information. The initial account is setup as a forwarding e-mail account. An e-mail mailbox is assigned to you after completing registration.
Your My海角社区 and 海角社区 email account are your primary networking tools at 海角社区. Check out these GROK articles explaining how to set up your and if you have any trouble.
Beginning Summer 2025
Once you're admitted, you will need to claim and manage your account through . You will receive an email with a unique link to create your prior to being able to schedule classes.
To safeguard the health of everyone at 海角社区, all new students are required to provide
proof of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), tetanus-diphtheria
and meningitis. You must complete and submit the Immunization Compliance Form to the
海角社区 Student Health Center 鈥 Immunization Department.

Failure to submit the required documentation will result in a hold on your account that will prevent you from enrolling in classes. We recommend you keep a copy of the Immunization Compliance form for your records.

Collapse the Registration Services menu (on the left), and select Schedule Request.

Select your campus and enrollment term.

Click View Schedule Request (at top).

Add your courses, then submit.
After you have scheduled your courses, you can complete your course registration by paying your fee bill either:

Online through your my海角社区 account: select Fee Bill under 鈥淩egistration Services鈥, or
-
In-person at 125 Thomas Boyd Hall with 海角社区 Office of Bursar Operations.
Please make sure to click 鈥淐辞尘辫濒别迟别鈥 to complete your registration. You鈥檙e officially an 海角社区 Graduate Student!
The Tiger Card can be obtained on the 1st floor of the . Along with identification, the Tiger Card is also used for building/dorm access, laundry, printing, vending, off- and on-campus vendors, dining services, library book check-out, discounts and is now an official form of ID when voting in Louisiana!

Students can choose to live on campus in a residence hall, apartment or residential college, or can choose to live off campus. If you are considering living off-campus, please note there are many apartments in Baton Rouge.

If you do not have a car, you may want to locate an apartment near campus and along the 海角社区 Tiger Trails bus route or Baton Rouge's Capital Area Transit System (CATS).
The New Graduate Student Orientation provides information to ease your transition into graduate school and introduces you to campus services and involvement opportunities.
International Students should also attend the international student orientation.
All official documents are due within the first 30 days after the first day of class
in order to avoid future registration issues.
