You Better Work Order

With over 3 million square feet of space on campus, our facilities crew stays busy ensuring that your needs are met in your campus home. The sooner we know about something, the sooner it can be addressed.
Don鈥檛 just put it in a group me or mention it to your RA, become familiar with how to submit and track your own work orders with these easy steps:

- Log in to the with your 海角社区 credentials.
- Select the work orders tab from the gold bar. This is where you can submit and track progress of work orders. For your first work order, look for a purple button that says 鈥淓nter Work Order Here鈥.
- Under the 鈥淩oom鈥 header, you should see your room description, space, and type. For residents in residence halls, select 鈥淢y Room鈥. For those in apartments, you can select 鈥淪hared Rooms鈥 if the issue lies in your shared living space.
- To actually input your work order, scroll down until you reach the 鈥淕eneral鈥 heading. Select the category that your issue falls under and select 鈥淟ist problem in detail below鈥 in the item drop down menu item.
- You鈥檒l now have to give a detailed description of the problem you have in the description box. The more information, the better!
- Then, enter your contact information. Though this is an optional step, as you will most likely receive a notification of your updated work order status via email, it's good to enter your contact information in case we cannot reach you.
- Don鈥檛 forget to click the box that says 鈥淚 have described the problem to the best of my ability.鈥 The work order won鈥檛 go through without it!
- You can now publish your work order. Once it is done, you鈥檒l receive an email confirmation.
- To check your status, go right back to that work orders tab. The status will show 鈥淪ent to Res Life Maintenance鈥.
- When your work order has been completed, you鈥檒l receive another notification. Make sure you鈥檙e checking your email throughout the week for updates.
- If you have any questions or concerns talk to your community鈥檚 residence coordinator. They can provide any support you may need in the process.
- If your room is flooding, all power is out in your room, or if you have any other emergency situations, call your community鈥檚 resident assistant on call. They can place an emergency work order in addition to your work order.
Do not be afraid to submit work orders for your room and any issues you may see around your community鈥檚 common spaces. Though sometimes things in your community can go offline or out of order, your residence hall should serve as a safe space among the stress of academic life.
