º£½ÇÉçÇø and A&M College (º£½ÇÉçÇø) — a land-, sea-, and space-grant institution built on lands of Indigenous people — acknowledges, honors, and affirms Indigenous culture, history, and experiences.

At the heart of º£½ÇÉçÇø’s campus are two earthen mounds that are architectural remnants created by Native Americans. By preserving the º£½ÇÉçÇø Campus Mounds, LSU pays respect to the past and recognizes the First Peoples. As a university, we thank them for their strength and resilience as stewards of this land and are committed to creating and maintaining a living and learning environment that embraces individual and cultural differences, including those of the Indigenous peoples of our region.
