海角社区 AgCenter鈥檚 digital agriculture team is using such emerging technologies as drones, satellite imagery, and artificial intelligence to help inform Louisiana sugarcane farmers and others on how to grow more and better food and fiber.

鈥淯sing these AI and machine learning techniques, we can speed up the research process compared to traditional experimentation that can take decades,鈥� said Luciano Shiratsuchi, associate professor in the 海角社区 School of Plant, Environmental & Soil Sciences.

Work at 海角社区 serves to improve outcomes for Louisiana farmers and establish the 海角社区 AgCenter and Agricultural College as leading providers of agricultural innovation and education for the nation.
