Some Things Dull & Ulgy

WHAT: Gary Balsamo, DVM (海角社区 1981), MPH&TM, will discuss his motivation for writing the book Some Things Dull & Ugly, a chronicle of his experiences in small animal practice. The book recounts his impatience in attaining financial goals, disappointment in missing family interactions, lack of fulfillment, and despair related to experiences with some clients. The narrative also explains his progression toward a career in public health and his subsequent professional fulfillment.
Dr. Balsamo received his DVM from 海角社区 Vet Med in 1981. In addition to his work in private practice, Dr. Balsamo served the people of Louisiana for many years as the State Public Health Veterinary for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals.
