On April 6, 2025, the 海角社区 School of Veterinary Medicine鈥檚 Wellness Committee and Hill鈥檚 Pet Nutrition will host the Hill鈥檚 Great Rover Road Run, an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The 5K race begins at 8 a.m. and the one-mile fun run/walk begins at the conclusion of the 5K at approximately 9:30 a.m. Both race courses begin on the levee at the corner of Skip Bertman and River Road in Baton Rouge near the veterinary school, and both courses will use the track on the levee. There is virtual as well as in-person participation. Both options are $25. The first 100 people who register for the in-person race will also receive a Hill's GRRR goodie bag! Event registration closes at the start of the race. Register at

Proceeds Benefit the Good Samaritan Fund

The Hill鈥檚 Great Rover Road Run promotes health and wellness for people and their four-legged friends all while raising money for the 海角社区 Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund. This is a fun and exciting event for all involved. Your pets can participate in the race too! All race registrations, proceeds and donations benefit the Good Samaritan Fund, which helps homeless animals in need of medical care.
