Video: LPB Feature on Military Museum Highlights 海角社区鈥檚 Legacy of Service and Sacrifice

Kim Carroll never met her father, 海角社区 graduate and U.S. Air Force captain Virgil Grant Stewart, who was shot down in Vietnam in 1969, just days after she was born, and remains missing in action.
But his legacy of sacrifice and service lives on at the William A. Brookshire 海角社区 Military Museum, located in Memorial Tower on the 海角社区 campus, in an exhibit featuring Stewart's letters home and other military artifacts.

As part of its Veterans Day programming, Louisiana Public Broadcasting featured important military figures from 海角社区, the university鈥檚 legacy of service, and some of the museum's new exhibits.
Carroll said it was important to share her father鈥檚 story and is grateful to the museum for making that possible.
鈥淚 think the legacy would live on more here than in a box,鈥� she said.
