Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage Webinar

With support from federal incentives and increasing pressure to lower carbon intensity, CCUS is gaining momentum as a potential tool to facilitate industrial decarbonization. This free webinar brings together legislative leaders, state regulators, and 海角社区 researchers to break down where we are, what鈥檚 coming next, and what it means for the state鈥檚 energy future.

Energy Fundamentals

Held this year from June 23-27 and July 7-11, Energy Fundamentals is designed to provide an overview of the U.S. energy sector, with a focus on Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region. Participants will be exposed to the history, science, and economics of producing and consuming energy.

Decarbonizing Louisiana's Economy

Challenges and Opportunities

The 海角社区 Center for Energy Studies will host several workshops titled 鈥淒ecarbonizing Louisiana's Economy: Challenges and Opportunities,鈥 which will address questions regarding decarbonization investments taking place in the state, including carbon capture, utilization, and storage; renewable energy projects such as wind and solar; and hydrogen production.

The workshops, to be held on the 海角社区 campus in Baton Rouge, are intended for locally elected officials from parishes impacted by one or more of these decarbonization projects.
