Camps & Workshops
The 海角社区 Department of Bands offers several unique workshops, each geared towards improving the technique and proficiency of current band directors and their ensembles.
Conductor's Art
The Conductor's Art is a two-day conducting and teaching workshop for band directors. Participants will have the opportunity to conduct the 海角社区 Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds, and Chamber Winds on selected repertoire with direct feedback and coaching from 海角社区 faculty and special guests.
Prefest
Prefest is an opportunity for high school bands to travel to the 海角社区 campus to perform their Concert Assessment program prior to the final assessment date. Ensembles and their directors will receive immediate feedback from the 海角社区 Department of Bands faculty, as well as follow-up review.
Complimentary Tickets
We are pleased to offer complimentary tickets to any of our concerts for high school students and their band directors! Directors may use the form below to request a single ticket. If a director would like to request a larger quantity of tickets for their program, such as for an entire group, please contact the department directly at bands@lsu.edu.
Complimentary ticket requests close at noon the day prior to the performance.
