Director's Message

Welcome to the World Language Lab & Resource Center (WLLRC) at 海角社区. We are located on the first and second floors of Prescott Hall on the Quad. Our 5-room facility provides faculty and students with multi-media tools to enhance their language learning and language teaching experience. We welcome you to take advantage of our 2 main computer labs, which total 55 computers for classroom or individual use with film screening room with 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound, or our seminar rooms, ideally designed for smaller classroom discussion.

Our computer labs are equipped with headsets for listening, microphones for speaking, and webcams for video chatting. Each computer has Microsoft Office installed for writing papers or creating a visual presentation. Each computer also has the Audacity software program for easy-to-create voice recordings.

Our film room, thanks to funds from the Student Technology Fee, is now equipped with a 7.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound system, seating for up to 40 people, and a lectern podium for multimedia presentations. Our extensive film library provides students and faculty with over 4,000 foreign language titles to choose from.

Our facilities can be reserved for classes, individual use, language clubs, lectures, presentations, and more. Please feel free to stop by or visit our website . We look forward to your visit.
