The Louisiana Geological Survey, 海角社区, and the LGS Director search committee are proud to announce the new Director of LGS. Dr. Clare Falcon has become the new state geologist of Louisiana and director of the Louisiana Geological Survey. See her biography here.

of revenue, and it is important that the citizens of Louisiana understand and have
knowledge of these valuable assets to better manage them. A basic knowledge of the
state鈥檚 earth-system processes and its biotic natural systems, and of their interconnectedness,
is essential to effective stewardship and sustainable development of these resources
