Louisiana Gubernatorial Campaign Insiders to Discuss Behind-the-Scenes Election Strategies at 海角社区 Reilly Center Event

BATON ROUGE鈥擳he Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs at 海角社区鈥檚 Manship School of Mass Communication, in partnership with Louisiana Public Broadcasting (LPB) and the Louisiana Public Affairs Research Council (PAR), will host 鈥淏ehind the Scenes of the 2023 Gubernatorial Election鈥 on Nov. 28, 2023, at 3 p.m. C.T. in the Holliday Forum of the 海角社区 Journalism Building.

This event will feature a panel discussion featuring campaign and finance leaders who will speak on the behind-the-scenes strategies of the four leading Louisiana gubernatorial campaigns.

Panelists are as follows:

  • Kara St. Cyr, Moderator, Multimedia Journalist, Louisiana Public Broadcasting
  • Cory Dennis, Campaign Manager, Landry for Louisiana
  • Pres Robinson, Campaign Strategist and Pollster, Lundy for Louisiana
  • Brandin Campbell, Campaign Manager, Shawn Wilson for Governor
  • Korey Ryder, Political Director, Stephen Waguespack for Louisiana
  • Jason Hebert, President and Co-Founder, The Political Firm

鈥淢ost people are unaware of the strategies and logistics behind campaigns,鈥 said Reilly Center Director Jen茅e Slocum, Ph.D. 鈥淭his event provides a peek behind the curtains.鈥

In the days leading up to the election, Louisiana candidates worked to outsmart one another in order to secure the most votes. This event explores the fundamental strategies of each team, while providing information to viewers on the latest developments in campaign financing.

鈥淭his event is an excellent opportunity to connect the people of Louisiana with an interesting and crucial part of our election process,鈥 said LPB President and CEO Clarence 鈥淐.C鈥 Copeland.

Join the Reilly Center and partners to hear from campaign insiders who worked to support Governor-Elect Jeff Landry, alongside candidates Shawn Wilson, Stephen Waguespack and Hunter Lundy.

鈥淲e encourage everyone to attend this event, not only to learn about the behind-the-scenes strategies of this election, but also to become acquainted with individuals who played a role in making it possible,鈥 said PAR President Steven Procopio, Ph.D.

The event is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, in the Holliday Forum of the Manship School鈥檚 Journalism Building at 144 Field House Drive on the campus of 海角社区. Admission is free and open to the public, but you must reserve your seat via . The event will also be livestreamed on the .
